Integration with Radix / Smart TV

Welcome to the configuration guide for integrating your Smart devices with Hector’s online asset management software. At the end of this guide, you will be able to automatically synchronize your SMART console devices into Hector.

1. Login to your Hector account

You must be an administrator to activate Smart integration for the integrations section.

2. Integrations

Navigate to Settings, in the Integrations section you can find Smart TV integration in the Inventory tab.

3. Integration settings

Once in the integration settings, you will see the fields you need to setup before you can begin syncing devices :

The Username and Password fields corresponds to the credentials of an account. The Username corresponds to a Username@Account in Smart. For the account in the following example, the value in the Username field would be hector@xxxxxx.

Please note that the account needs to have sufficient rights in Smart to see every device you want to synchronize.

Next, you need to select a default category and a default stockroom for the assets. The parts will be automatically created or assigned following the maker and the model of the device.

The final setting is to choose which fields you want to synchronize as attributes. The attributes will be automatically created if they don’t already exist in your environment. You can rename the attributes once created based on your preference.

Once all your settings have been completed, you can Validate the configuration, it will verify if your credentials allows Hector to connect to Radix / Smart TV API. Then, you can save and integrate !

How the integration works

What to expect when syncing

Once synchronization is enabled, Hector will start syncing with Smart management console based on your integration settings. The synchronization happens once per day, around 8 pm, and you will see the newly created assets the following day.
