Version 2.0.2 · Released July 16, 2026
Improved
- Simpler device types: device types named after a vendor are merged into general types, so each type can be mapped to a category in Hector once. Cisco, Juniper and Ubiquiti devices, and web-managed devices that match no other rule, are now reported as Network Device. VMware and Hyper-V hosts are now reported as Virtual Machine. Ubiquiti access points and switches are still recognized as access points and switches.
The 14 device types are: Access Point, Apple Device, Firewall, IP Camera, Linux Device, Media Device, NAS, Network Device, Printer, Router, Switch, Virtual Machine, VoIP Phone and Windows Device. In Hector, each one can be mapped to its own category in the Odysseus integration’s Default values.
For installation and configuration steps, see the integration guide with Odysseus.
